Public transport is now easier to use.
Starting 18 April the NSW Government is introducing a simpler fare structure called MyZone. MyZone fares apply across a very wide geographic area. MyZone tickets will be accepted on the entire CityRail, State Transit and Sydney Ferries networks, as well as all private bus services and the Stockton ferry.
There are fewer fare bands on all modes of public transport. On trains, fare bands will reduce from twenty to five, on buses fare bands reduce from five to three and on ferries fare bands reduce from five to two. There are three new MyMulti tickets to give you unlimited travel on all Sydney Ferries and government and private bus services, as well as travel within particular CityRail zones.
For the first time, you can purchase one ticket for travel on either government or private buses. Full details can be obtained by visit the MyZone website www.myzone.nsw.gov.au
Where to buy
There are more than 1200 places to buy your MyZone tickets. MyZone tickets can be purchased from a variety of locations including all CityRail stations.
All ticket resellers sell MyBus and MyMulti tickets. Those that are located close to ferry wharves may also sell MyFerry tickets.
CityRail stations only sell MyTrain tickets, selected MyMulti tickets and MyBus TravelTen tickets.
New ticket stockists are being added all the time. To find the location of a ticket reseller near you visit the Store Locator on the MyZone website.
